Governing Docs
The primary governing documents of a homeowners' association (HOA) include the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations. These documents, along with other legal and financial information, detail how the HOA operates. They outline the rights and responsibilities of homeowners, the structure of the board, and the procedures for enforcing community rules.
Articles of Incorporation
Established the Crosscreeks Owners Association as a legal, non-profit corporation in the State of Michigan in 1979
Bylaws
Serves as the Association's rulebook, outlining its day-to-day operations and management
Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CCRs)
A legal document that outlines the rights and restrictions regarding your home. These rules run with the land, meaning they remain in effect even when the property is sold or transferred to a new owner.
Homeowners' Energy Policy Statement
This serves as the formal bridge between individual homeowners' goals and the community's collective standards by providing the "how-to" for modern energy upgrades.
